Emily Kerr

Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist

Bsc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MCSP, HCPC registered

Hi, I’m Emily and I am an experienced specialist neuro-physiotherapist, dedicated to helping individuals recover and regain independence after neurological events such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Guillain-Barré syndrome and other neurological conditions. I also specialise in older-person rehabilitation and supporting people with chronic conditions.

I am an accredited moving and handling trainer and can offer bespoke moving and handling training and advice for clients and their support network.

I’ve worked in a variety of settings providing multidisciplinary neurological rehabilitation and have an in-depth understanding of how neurological, chronic, and degenerative conditions can affect an individual as well as those around them. I continue to work part time at Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabiliation Unit in Bristol and understand the challenges that the transition between hospital and home can bring.

Drawing on extensive clinical experience and a holistic approach to rehabilitation, I am committed to working closely with clients and their families to ensure the best outcomes through tailored, client-centered care.

I thrive on building strong, empathetic relationships with clients and their families, providing education, guidance, and support throughout the rehabilitation process.

I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology (ACPIN) and the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
